On Saturday 26 September the box was all about the CFG Community Cup. Not a contest for the strongest, but a day where members worked through five workouts together in teams of three, inside the box and out on the streets. We started at 10:00, the last score went up around 17:00, and we carried on with a BBQ.

How it worked

Fifteen participants, split into five teams of three. Each team had its own lane and its own route, and three judges and volunteers kept the day running smoothly.

The teams were mixed on purpose. Someone who has trained for years next to someone who just started. That is how a regular class works too: same workout, everyone at their own level.

Five operations

Each workout had its own name and mission: Acid Infil, Op. Recon, Op. Ground Zero, Op. Supply Run and Op. Direct Action & Exfil.

Part of it happened in the box, on the rowers and the assault bikes. Another part went out the door: with sandbags and a route past checkpoints in the neighbourhood, where teams had to decide together how to share the work.

Because not everyone weighs the same, a few events had their score adjusted for bodyweight. That way effort counted for more than build.

Why we do this

In a regular class you train next to each other. On a day like this you train for each other. You wait for your teammate, you take over part of their work, you cheer them through the final metres.

That is exactly what keeps people here. Not the equipment or the schedule, but the group that notices you are there. The Community Cup makes that visible for a whole day.

Don't just read about it. Come and do it.

During your free trial week you train under guidance and we adapt every workout to your level.

Next edition

We evaluated the day. Start time, schedule and the difficulty of the workouts stay as they were. Communication will go out earlier, the score app will be tested in advance and we will explain the scoring more simply.

The next CFG Community Cup will be in spring 2027. We will announce the date in good time.
